That reminds me.  How DO you waterproof strike anywhere matches?


THe best way is to get a few candles, light them, and with the
wax melts, dip the tip in the molten wax.

I disagree, I've had nothing but disappointment with wax. I usually
get a 1 out of 5 light with wax coated matches. The rest just
smoulder a bit, never flaming up. Clear nail polish gets better
results for me.

My wax method, melt wax, let it form a skin, dunk. Have also tried
melt wax, dunk. Between these two methods I did 500 matches, sat on
the porch striking them, and had less than 100 properly light.

If you "WAX Guys" get better results, please post your methods.
