Homemade Soap #3

5 cups coldwater
Add: 1 can lye
When lukewarm, add:
1/2 cup borax
1/2 cup ammonia

Stir thoroughly. Then add 25 cents worth 
of sassafras oil. Stir in 11 cups of lukewarm 
fat and keep stirring for 10 minutes until 
mixture resembles thick butterscotch. Pour into 
container; allow to harden 36 hours. Cut into bars.
